I was overjoyed to design a 12x18 poster for the rock’n’roll royalty of Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick. My only piece of direction was to not use images of the artists. The “Rod Stewart” type is his signature, complimented with some handwritten text on top and paired with a classic serif to evoke a vintage feel. The main image is a reference to 1960’s fanzines and stands as visual representation of Stewart’s beautiful voice.
